Something witty this way comes.

Full Site Screenshots in Firefox

There is a Firefox extension called ScreenGrab that will let you take a full screenshot of a web site. I mean full. No need to scroll, and it grabs the site from top to bottom. How cool is that? This is something that usually requires a lot of annoying repetitive cut-and-paste into Photoshop. I would install it if it weren't for the fact that it needs Java to run.

Argh... it's like the Dark Side pulling me to install this extension.

I'm too weak. Here's a full screenshot taken of MBoffin.com.

What's the problem with Java? That's all I work in now. I wouldn't say I love Java... the language itself is great, but it has no advantage to c# other than the fact it can run on different architectures. But how have you made it this long without installed the runtime engine??

I have the runtime engine installed. Mainly I was just annoyed by the stupid tray icon that kept popping up and then staying there every time I used a Java app. It was an unreasonable annoyance, given that I can just turn that off (which I've done since loading the extension).

In terms of Java as a development platform, I have absolutely nothing against it. In fact, I am actually very happy that C# is so close to Java, because it means I can read incredibly awesome Java books like Head First Design Patterns and all the code samples make perfect sense.
