A couple months back I was doing some stop motion work and I needed good software. I searched around and the free options were pretty slim. I couldn't find much that really had the power that I wanted but was not willing to pay for. Until I found AnimatorDV Simple+
. It's a great piece of software for doing basic stop motion video. It has excellent onion skinning and easy ways to play back what you've done so far. I end up assembling my video in Sony Vegas
, but for taking the stills, I use AnimatorDV because it makes stop motion so easy. And it's totally free. And it works in Vista.
If you want to see an example of a video I created with AnimatorDV, check out this LEGO paper toss test
video I made.
